Sandeep Banerjie,
Director, RFID Product & Solutions Marketing, BEA Systems
Mr. Banerjie is responsible for all aspects of BEA’s RFID marketing operations worldwide, including executing on the go-to-market strategy, and coordinating all elements of an integrated, global marketing program.
Mr. Banerjie has 13+ years experience in the IT industry. He has held a variety of leadership roles in marketing, sales and business services organizations. His experience spans across CRM, ERP, SCM, GIS and IT infrastructure domains, involving technologies like BEA, SAP, Siebel, ESRI amongst others and serving customers in a variety of different industries. Mr. Banerjie holds an Engineering degree in Electronics and Electrical from University of Bombay, India.
Mike Bates, Partner Channel Manager, Printronix, Inc.
Mike has been involved in the automatic identification industry for twenty-two years, working in systems engineering, marketing, and sales for Monarch Marking Systems, Data Recognition, Enterprise Information Systems, and Printronix. He has provided training and given numerous presentations throughout the US discussing RFID, barcode technology, and wireless barcode data collection.
Steve Buerle, Practice Director, Unisys, CISM, IAM, CISSP
Mr. Buerle has over 16 years of experience as a security expert, systems analyst and network integrator. In this position he is globally responsible for the strategic direction and tactical execution of track and trace solutions for public and private organizations. Mr. Buerle and his teams focus on the development and delivery of security and track and trace solutions designed to protect physical and electronic assets, ensure brand protection, prevent product theft, pilferage or diversion, detect and/or deter terrorist events and minimize pharmaceutical counterfeiting.
In his role at Unisys Mr. Buerle has been instrumental in the delivery of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sponsored RFID and risk analysis research and development for the Operation Safe Commerce (OSC) initiative. In addition Mr. Buerle and members of his team have developed 802.11/WiFi security methodology, threat analysis techniques and integration services for the Transportation Security Agency (TSA).
In his previous roles, Mr. Buerle was the Network Security Officer for the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Director of Security and Risk Services at a KPMG and Cisco startup called Thrupoint (formerly named Total Network Solutions).
Mr. Buerle holds an MDesS in Knowledge-based CAD systems from Harvard University, an MBA from Rensselear Polytechnic University as well as various security certifications including the ISC2 CISSP, ISACA CISM and the NSA IAM certification.
Andrea Brunson, Manager of U.S. Area Market Logistics Group, Pfizer
For three years, Andrea has managed Pfizer's market logistics group based in Memphis, Tenn.,, and has overseen a number of sizable projects and initiatives designed to keep Pfizer in the forefront of the Pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining Pfizer, Andrea was employed by Kurt Salmon Associates, a nationally known consulting and professional services company serving Fortune 500 clients nationwide. Andrea received her BSME from the University of Wisconsin and is native to the Madison area.
Bob Celeste,
Director of Action Groups, EPCglobal US
Bob assumed the role of facilitator of the Software Action Group in May 2004, and the Healthcare and Life Sciences Business Action Group in July 2004. Celeste joined the Uniform Code Council (UCC) in 2001 to lead a global group of 12 business modelers from six countries to support the EAN.UCC system. He also facilitated and modeled the development of the Global Data Synchronization Standards. Prior to joining UCC, Celeste had 20 years of experience consulting to retail, pharmaceutical, chemical, telecommunication, banking, investment, aerospace, manufacturing, research lab and utility industries on business process modeling and software development.
Dr. Robb Clarke, Associate Professor, Michigan State University School of Packaging; Contributing Editor to RFID Product News
An internationally renowned speaker and RFID expert, Clarke created MSU's RFID Lab, which he oversees. His main areas of research are automatic identification (particularly RFID) in manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and handling; machine operations and efficiency; quality control and issues; and dynamic forces encountered on packaging lines and in distribution. Clarke holds a BS degree from the MSU School of Packaging, an MBA in marketing from Golden Gate University, a PhD in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and a Visiting Scholar research position in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, England.
Christopher Fennig, Director of Professional Services, ODIN Technologies
Chris thrives at the intersection of business and technology. He has focused on the emerging EPC industry since its inception and has successfully engaged leaders in the industry through his professional consulting services. His experience includes direct interaction with Wal-Mart’s top suppliers and designing and executing novel RFID experiments.
Chris is passionate about leading tech-based business initiatives. His interaction with RF began as a developer of cutting edge nanosatellite technologies designed to deliver store-and-forward email communication services to clients worldwide. This technology formed the basis for a startup called Nanostar Technologies, Inc. Serving as CEO, Chris held responsibility for formulating and executing strategic plans as well as interacting with potential investors and strategic partners.
Chris received his M.S. in Physics Entrepreneurship from Case Western Reserve University, a program dedicated to empowering physicists as entrepreneurs and his B.S. in Engineering/Physics from Taylor University in Upland, IN.
Ken Rustici, Senior Project Manager – RFID, SC Johnson & Son, Inc.
Ken has
28 years experience in both IT and Supply Chain. He led the logistics business transformation during SC Johnson’s SAP implementation. Over the last two and half years, Ken has been responsible for leading the RFID project at SC Johnson.
Puneet Sawhney, Global Program Manager, CHEP's RFID program
Puneet is responsible for setting CHEP's RFID strategy across different business and geographies, and for delivering positive return on investment by focusing on asset management and product tracking benefits of this technology. He joined CHEP in 2003.
Puneet holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from DMET, Calcutta, India and an MBA from Emory University, Atlanta.

Paul Schmidt,

Paul has conducted strategic analysis, developed business cases, facilitated workshops, led implementations, and has presented and published research identifying how EPC/RFID can reduce costs, increase revenue, and improve business performance.
Before focusing on EPC/RFID technologies, Mr. Schmidt was the director of the Accenture Supply Chain Practice alliance program with responsibility for identification, evaluation, formation, and management of Accenture’s alliance partners across the entire spectrum of supply chain functions. In addition, Mr. Schmidt has over 15 years experience across a variety of industries delivering Supply Chain, ERP, and CRM packaged and custom developed software solutions. He has led numerous programs and projects for Fortune 500 companies using innovative technology to deliver pragmatic solutions.
Mr. Schmidt holds a BBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Jared Schrieber, Director of Services, TC3i
Jared Schrieber brings a wealth of expertise to his role as Director of Services for T3Ci. Jared’s career includes leading work with Intel, UPS, Reebok, and NCR Teradata in the areas of demand forecasting, inventory and capacity planning, network optimization, supply chain decision-support and solution development. He holds a master’s degree in Logistics (MLOG) from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University.
